DC Wandering

Top Picture: Jcrew Shirt, H&M shirt, Express Skirt

Just rounding out the pictures I took while in DC. We were such tourist and went to all the monuments. We also, like typical girls, went shopping on M street in Georgetown where I found my Michael Kors watch that is my new current obsession.

Gaudy

Jacket Zara
Shirt Free People
Jeans Ex-boyfriend
Belt Zara
Bag Calvin Klein
Watch Michael Kors

This past weekend, I went to DC to visit one of my best friends from college. While shopping around, I found this awesome belt from Zara that is so big and slightly gaudy, but I am obsessed with it. Also, this was my first time in DC since I was a little kid and it was so amazing! I loved this city, it really has just so much history honoring America!

Beauty

Lipstick: Russian Red Matte- MAC

Experimenting with your look is the new process of evolution, I believe. Updating the color palettes you use each season, learning about different makeup applications, and buying a million hair products with promising directions of creating flawless hair can change your appearance almost drastically. My favorite way of changing my look is lipstick. The effortlessness of applying lipstick, yet the unmistakable sight gives you a great update that diverges from the norm, and sometime even set you apart from the pack. Also, when wearing different shades of red lipstick, my mood that day changes as well. From fashionable to flirty, to devastating  it's amazing all the outcomes of a simple swipe.

Flying South for the Winter

Wearing: (Top Picture) Top: Urban Outfitters Bottoms: Vintage (Bottom Picture) Top: Free People Belt: A Store on Melrose, LA Shorts: Vintage Bracelets: A gift from a friend

Southern hospitality has always intrigued me. Coming from New York where one is often greeted with a cuss word, a place where people take their time to get from one place to another and actually enjoy the scenery sounds almost mystical to me. Fortuitously for me, my best friend, April Vinzani, currently resides in Athens, Georgia. Made famous by the precariously good food, a large student body that attends UGA, and lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the populations affinity towards college football (Go Dawgs!), Athens was a great town. Here are some just some of the pictures I took while discovering the south.

Pumpkins, and Leaves, and Lattes, Oh My!

Change seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life right now. Changing seasons, changing locations, changing style. There are many things in my life changing as I settle in to the east coast after moving back from care-free California. Besides the typical readjustments to the weather, my closet is changing. Not only going from shorts to jeans, but from a more easy going (I'm talking crop tops and ripped shorts) style to a slightly more sophisticated one. So I decided one day that I wanted to document these evolution's, so welcome to my blog!

A little about me:
After graduating college, moving from New York across the country to LA, moving back to Philadelphia, and basically being a nomad on the east coast (traveling almost every weekend to my hometown NYC, Atlanta, NC, Chicago etc) my style has grown so much, and been influenced by so many people, that I want to show it to more people than just the people in my office, and my room mates. So check back daily for my outfits, but also things that are currently inspiring my style. Whats inspiring me this week? Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Yum.
